For this purpose, we build pan-European market leaders by investing EUR 300m in growth-stage companies with high potential for innovation, favorable returns, and sustainable impact. In syndicates with private and public investors, we are offering flexible financing tools from equity to mezzanine.

Our investment team at brings over 100 years of VC and industry experience and has international, resilient networks consisting of investors, companies, industry experts and regional organizations in the bioeconomy.
With team members from 14 different nations, the ECBF combines diversity, economic and scientific expertise,
longstanding experience in various fields, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit.
Its team members have set up five funds and have gained experience with more than 2,000 financing transactions and more than 100 exits.
